Zebra Crossing Success

New zebra crossing on Pickhurst Lane

February saw the opening of the new zebra crossing on Pickhurst Lane, close to the bottom of Station Approach. The crossing was put in following requests from the Safer Neighbourhood Panel, supported by your local councillors.

  1. Thats lovely but I note that there is no reference at all the the much needed crossing on the a232 Croyden road near Hartfield Cresent in any of your reports!!!!

    1. Over the last few months we have been working closely with the Wickham Common Residents Association, Transport for London (the A232 is ‘their’ road) and the Corporation of London to get something done there – it is a long-running problem and still ‘work in progress’ sadly.

      (As it happens, our latest paper-based newsletter has an article covering the and is about to go out – we will be uploading the articles online very shortly.)
